Service Description
These days authors all know the importance of social media such as Twitter and Facebook and the crucial role they can play as a weapon in the book marketing armoury. However very few know how to harness its power.
Social media often seems ‘random’ but this is deceptive – to get the most out of Twitter, to create a buzz, get followers and drive them through to your own website or online book retailers, one has to be strategic and targeted.
How it works
Following an initial marketing meeting to discuss the author’s book, we create Twitter and Facebook accounts on their behalf. We then research and plan a strategy of social media updates, which we implement over a 6 week period.
The strategy will include building a long list of very specific ‘tweets’ to be posted daily. We will post 5 tweets/updates a day. We will also respond to other Twitter users that contact the author. We will try to build a list of followers and get their account listed in relevant writing and genre lists (thus hopefully driving interest and followers).
Good to know
- Social media is a great book marketing tool in today’s world
- It’s free and you can do it yourself, but you need to be committed, have an overall pre-planned strategy and take the time to run your social media page throughout the day, every day.
