Service Description
At one time or another, most authors consider trying to get a “Traditional” publishing deal e.g. a three book deal with a healthy advance from the likes of Penguin, HarperCollins or Random House. And to do that the author must first find a literary agent; the professional who will sell their book to the publisher.
Most authors have experience of submitting their manuscripts only to receive rejection letters, or no response at all (JK Rowling included!).
Increasingly we find that authors are choosing to self-publish with a view to proving that there is a market or audience for their writing, before contacting literary agents and traditional publishers.
Whether you’re contacting literary agents for the first time or you have self-published and are now looking for representation, the process of submitting your book to a literary agent can be a challenging and confusing one. Sadly, most authors get even the basics of this process completely wrong.
As such, we have developed a service to help the author submit their book effectively. We see a lot of submissions that fall at the first hurdle (i.e. they are binned) because the format of the submission and the content just isn’t right. We have a lot of experience in polishing this submissions pack and giving the author the best chance of being taken seriously by the literary agent.
