Service Description
A Press Release is an essential tool in any author’s book marketing kit. It is the industry standard document used to alert journalists to a book’s publication. All media will require a Press Release to decide whether to feature a book or interview an author. But getting it right isn’t easy.
At Authoright P.R we are different to other book marketing agencies. We aren’t just marketers, we are specialists in other areas of the media. Our Press Releases are written by highly experienced journalists that have worked for leading international newspapers and broadcasters, such as the BBC. We know how our peers think, what they’re looking for and therefore how best to pitch a book so that it has the greatest chance of being picked up and not spiked or worse, immediately binned.
It’s also imperative to tell the right people about a book’s publication. We have excellent media contacts in the UK and US, and elsewhere around the world. We work with these people on a daily basis, let us tell them about your book.
How it works
A well-drafted press release remains the most effective way of hooking the media’s interest in any new book. We will liaise with you in order to personally tailor your press release, ensuring that it best reflects who you are as a writer and clearly represents the essence of your book, together with any outstanding personal information, which in itself may be of interest to the press. Once you have approved the press release, we undertake its distribution to our media contacts nationwide, which include regional and national newspapers, magazines, TV shows and radio stations.
You can choose from various levels of this service, whether your press release is sent to 100 or 200 of our media contacts, or 400 in both the UK and US.
